Developing  a local Senior Council in Okehampton

For People 50+

We would like to meet people from Okehampton and its surrounding parishes to talk about the possible development of a Senior Council in Okehampton area. Local Groups are being developed throughout Devon looking at the things that matter to people as they grow older in their communities. Each of these 29 local groups will have representation on the Devon Senior Council and will work with statutory agencies with the aim of improving the quality of life for people over 50 in the County.

Work in the Okehampton area is in the early stages of development and in order to begin to hear from people 50+ about what things are important to them and how a local group might be established. Two meetings have been held ( see notes below)
