July 19 2011 - Ordinary Meeting Minutes
At their meeting on Tuesday 27th July, Dawlish branch re-elected Peter Spackman as their Chairman and Janet Garland, a Dawlish Town Councillor, was elected as Vice-Chairman. Both Peter and Janet were also both elected as Assembly Member representatives. They failed to elect an Executive Committee. The Financial Report for the year was agreed.
At the Ordinary Meeting, Dawlish SCfD decided to approach Teignbridge District Council about putting grit bins outside Dawlish surgery and the hospital as the NHS and DCC had refused the same request.
David Light gave a talk about Memory Cafes - one has already started in Dawlish.
Dawlish SCfD members had helped distribute an Accessibility leaflet around the town and are now looking at producing a leaflet which shows all of the organisations in the Dawlish area.
